• The real Beancount

  Every number comes from Beancount itself, plugins included, so reports match bean-check and Fava to the cent.

• Nothing to install

  Beancount, Fava's calculation code and Git come inside the app. Download it, choose your ledger's folder and you are done — offline from the first launch.

• Private by design

  Your ledger never leaves your Mac. The app runs in the macOS sandbox and reads only the folder you choose. No account, no cloud, no telemetry.

• Reports

  Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance for any period, with monthly, quarterly or yearly columns and a frozen account column.

• Charts

  Income and expenses, a Sankey of where the money went, net worth over time, allocation, treemap and sunburst. Colour-blind safe.

• Portfolio

  Holdings lot by lot: average cost, book and market value, unrealized gain, price history with your purchases on it.

• Journal

  Every directive of the period, grouped by month. Filter by type, search by payee, account, #tag or ^link, spot internal transfers.

• Fast entry, real editor

  A transaction dialog with autocomplete, payee templates and arithmetic in the amount. Or the full text editor, with bean-format on save.

• Filters and saved views

  Filter by tag, link, payee, account, text or metadata; click a filter to exclude instead. Keep any combination in the sidebar.

• Saving is committing

  Each save becomes a Git commit with a sensible message. Reword or undo it in one click, and browse every diff in History.

• iPhone companion

  Jot expenses down as drafts when they happen and send them to the Mac as a file. No server, no sync service.

• Made for the Mac

  A native app, not a web page in a window. Step through periods with ⌘[ and ⌘], add a transaction with ⌘N, switch columns without the mouse.
